Witnesses sought to assault in Fleet

Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of an assault in Fleet on Monday, July 2.

Police have received reports that sometime between 7pm and 8pm, an incident occurred in Calthorpe Park.

Officers were told that a white man, aged around 30, was assaulted by three black men, also aged around 30.

Detective Sergeant Ross Toms, from the Aldershot Priority Crime Unit, said: “We'd like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed the assault to come forward.

“We are also keen to trace the victim of this assault. If you were the man seen being assaulted in Calthorpe Park, please contact the police. Your call will be treated in confidence.”

A 43-year-old man has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
